Gwalia is located several kilometres south of Leonora, in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia — a semi-arid, remote environment characterised by fine red-dirt particulate. This pervasive abrasive dust accelerates wear on filtration systems, mobile equipment seals, and HVAC components, creating sustained demand for high-specification filters, wear-resistant parts, and dust-suppression consumables. Leonora serves as the regional logistics hub and gateway to the northern Goldfields, with sealed road access and a regional airport supporting FIFO operations.

Gwalia is an actively producing asset operated by Genesis Minerals Limited, requiring a broad B2B supply chain across two dimensions:

• Extractive services: underground mining contracting, ground support materials, specialised ventilation and refrigeration systems, paste fill plant consumables, explosives supply and drilling services, haul truck and loader maintenance
• Processing services: CIL reagents, elution circuit chemicals, gravity/electrowinning consumables, plant maintenance and shutdown services
• Logistical and workforce services: FIFO workforce management, Leonora camp catering and facilities management, critical-spares freight with emergency response capability, ROM pad management and road maintenance

Gwalia is recognised as Australia's deepest underground gold mine, currently operating beyond 1,600 m depth and targeting approximately 2,300 m by 2031. The primary extraction method is longhole open stoping with paste fill, demanding precision ground-support engineering and continuous paste-fill plant operation. The underground haulage ramp extends approximately 10 km to portal, placing exceptional demands on truck drivetrains and tyre management. The processing facility incorporates a three-stage crushing circuit, single-stage milling, and a hybrid CIL circuit with AARL elution, electrowinning, and on-site gold room smelting.

Genesis Minerals operates Gwalia under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and associated mines regulations, with WorkSafe WA as the statutory safety regulator. Environmental compliance is maintained under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (WA). Key sustainability commitments include:
