Crown Jewel Boorara

The Crown Jewel Boorara deposit sits within the East Coolgardie Goldfield, approximately 10–15 km east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia's Goldfields-Esperance region. The site occupies the semi-arid Eastern Goldfields landscape, characterised by:

• Extreme aridity with annual rainfall below 270 mm, making water supply infrastructure a primary operational constraint
• Flat to gently undulating terrain typical of the Yilgarn Craton
• Proximity to Kalgoorlie-Boulder providing access to established regional utilities, workforce, and supply chains

Potable and process water sourcing, storage, and recycling systems are critical pre-production engineering priorities for this environment.

The project is operated by Horizon Minerals Limited (ASX: HRZ) and is currently in an active pre-production planning phase, targeting a production restart in early 2027. Key B2B procurement categories at this stage include:

• Feasibility and geotechnical study services
• Environmental and mining permit approvals
• Processing plant engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)
• Ore haulage and materials handling contracting
• Reagent and consumable supply agreements for the Black Swan Processing Centre integration

Stockpiled ore on site (460,000 t at 14,200 oz Au) is designated as mill feed for the Black Swan Processing Centre commissioning targeted for mid-2027.

The Crown Jewel Boorara deposit is developed as an open pit gold operation within the Archaean greenstone sequences of the Yilgarn Craton. Infrastructure and engineering requirements at the current development stage include:

• Pit geotechnical assessment and slope stability engineering
• Dewatering system design for pit and near-surface groundwater management
• Run-of-mine pad construction and ore stockpile management
• Haul road and site access upgrades
• On-site power supply infrastructure (category: diesel or hybrid generation)

Processing will be conducted off-site at the Black Swan Processing Centre, requiring a robust ore transport logistics solution between Boorara and the processing facility.

As a development-stage asset, Crown Jewel Boorara presents a strategic opportunity to embed ESG-aligned design from the outset. Priority sustainability considerations include:

• Integration of solar hybrid power generation to reduce diesel dependency and Scope 1 emissions
• Water recycling and closed-loop process water systems to address arid-environment constraints
• Progressive rehabilitation planning aligned with Western Australian regulatory requirements
• Pathway toward low-emission mobile equipment procurement as fleet decisions are finalised
